Yahoo supports the standard IMAP, POP, and SMTP protocols. IMAP is the best way to connect your Yahoo Mail account to a desktop mail client or mobile app. It allows 2-way syncing, which means everything you do remotely is reflected in your Yahoo Mail account no matter where or how you access it. Here are the settings you’ll need to configure your mail client or app.



 

Incoming Settings

The IMAP server is imap.mail.yahoo.com and it is using the port 993. It requires SSL.

The POP server is pop.mail.yahoo.com and it is using the port 995. It requires SSL.

Outgoing Settings

The outgoing SMTP server is smtp.mail.yahoo.com, and it is using the ports 465 or 587. it requires SSL or TLS and authentication.

  • Email address – Your full email address (name@domain.com)
  • Password – Your account’s password
